About security-team

This list is for the use of the OpenAFS security team to discuss isues and reports related to OpenAFS security. This list is for internal discussion only; please do not report OpenAFS security problems to this list. Instead, send mail to openafs-security@openafs.org to submit a report to the security request tracking system. This is a closed list -- subscriptions require approval from the list adminstrator, and only current subscribers may post without moderator approval. Only current members of the OpenAFS Security Team will be permitted to subscribe to this list. If you are not a member of that grouo, please do not send subscription requests; the vast majority of work done by GRAND.CENTRAL.ORG postmasters consists of rejecting subscription requests for private lists. If you are a current subscriber and your outgoing mail normally comes from an address other than the one with which you are subscribed, send a note to the list maintainer to get added to the list of authorized posters. To post a message to all the list members, send email to security-team@openafs.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to security-team

Subscribe to security-team by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list administrator. You will be notified of the administrator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the members list is not available to non-members. Your email address:   You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
