[OpenAFS] HOWTO for installation on 7.1

Hello there!
I have been "tasked" to install AFS on a server for my customer, who wants
to do file synchronization through AFS across the network link. Giving the
deadline I was given I could only use a RedHat 7.1 machine with a RAID
array. I downloaded the RPMs for RH 7.1 and installed them, but got errors
galore.
I have seen several problems here in the list and haven't seen a
definitive guide on installation of AFS anywhere. So my questions are
these:
1.-Is there an installation guide of AFS anywhere I could take a look at,
before I bother the list with stupid errors or questions (this is my first
installation of AFS and some documentation would be nice).
2.-Are the binary rpm files for OpenAFS usable? Or should i better get the
sources and compile it myself?
3.-Are the makefiles and sources really customized for RH 7.1? I see
references there to Inetd whereas RH 7.1 uses xinetd, etc.
4.-Is there a filesize type recommended for use with AFS or a maximum size
that should/could be used?
5.-How exactly are filesystems or directories shared? How exactly are
filesystems or directories mounted, where is all this defined? (again, I
am new to AFS, and I have noticed that it has nothing to do with NFS, but
that's as far as I get it)
As a side note:
1.-I can and know ghow to compile and recompile kernels, I just like to
use binary rpms since the maintenance may not be made by me and as much as
I have standardly installed the less grief users will give to whoever is
in the shift that'll deal with them.
2.-I have read the documentation (even the directory called "docs", where
only the LICENSE resides), the FAQ and even a HOWTO which is from before
OpenAFS, I ask these questions after having read all this. The information
in all these docs is generic and usually not practical or hands-on.
Thanks in advance
Eduo
