To get OpenAFS to work on Windows 2000, you have to change the LANA
number to something other than the default. I think I used 6 and got
things working.
The OpenAFS client on Windows is not a true IFS module. It is really
an AFS-to-NBT translator. Kind of a neat hack, I think. The Arla
folks supposedly have a semi-functional AFS client that provides a
little tighter integration with the Windows file system layer, and
they gave a presentation on it a while back. Apparently, writing a
file system module is very, very difficult and poorly documented.
