Hello
I have installed OpenAFS 1.0.4 in Redhat 7.1 from source. Some things are
working, other are not. I just need some pointers to make sure I am
testing right.
Now, the server starts and is stopped right now that I changed the script
for it (it has a bad route for the 'bos' binary), but I get an error from
'bos' that says:
bos: could not find entry (getting key from local KeyFile)
bos: running unauthenticated
bos: failed to shutdown servers (you are not authorized for this operation)
bos: can't wait for processes to shutdown (you are not authorized for this
operation)
Now, I guess this is because I am not Kerberos authenticated, but as much
as I try I cannot make Kerberos authenticate me. Should there be a server
or something running that I could have skuipped in the installation? Is
root denied the access to klog for some reason? Should passwords be
enabled or sync'd with Kerberos for some reason?
After this, I was wondering what would a sample file for an AFS server and
an AFS client be? I am not sued to AFS and would like to set up the client
and server at first without connecting to *anything*. How should this be
configured and in what files? (I cannot find this at all)
The client is still freezing my machine when stopped. I am trying to
isolate this problem but can't, but that is secondary.
Thanks
Eduo
