Normally .ini files use a semicolon for comment lines. Might that be what
is causing a problem?

Look into the Cell DB file (default=.\WINNT\afsdcell.ini).
Remove these lines:
# This file must change to specify a cell.
# The "511.01.01.01" represents an IP address.
>PutCellNameHere # CellName Comment
511.01.01.01 #DBServerMachineName1
511.02.02.02 #DBServerMachineName2
511.03.03.03 #DBServerMachineName3
The client doesn't do well with comments in the this file.

Subject: [OpenAFS] Unable to obtain token on Win2k
Hi!
When I try to obtain a token for my cell (wu-wien.ac.at) using Openafs
1.04a on Windows 2000, I recieve the message
62 (password was incorrect).
However, I can browse the afs-Tree as system:anyuser.
Volume Location Servers are configured correctly.
Any hints?
Cheers,
--leo
