I installed AFS on my Win2k box and even installed NetBEUI to get it to
work. Took me a while to inderstadn the LANA numbers and stuff, but after
trying a bunch of them, I was good to go.
My question is this: After I installed and got the AFS stuff working on my
Win2k box (client only) I could not log into the NT domain. I noticed that
NetBIOS was disabled by looking at the ipconfig /all command. I checked
allt he check boxes, and even searched TechNet for a solution, but no matter
how hard I tried, I could not get NetBIOs to reenable. I did try even
removing my interface's in the device manager, and even tried to reinstall
the interface drivers.
I finally gave up and reinstalled to a new directory. I'm too busy to not
be able to get on the network.
Has anyone else had this problem, or been able to find a solution and turn
on NetBIOS again? My NT domain is more important than AFS, unfortunately,
but I'm willing to do anything to get this working.
