There is apparently a need for a point to collect the experiences to
set up afs with kerberos V support.
Effectively, if you choose to rigorously follow the old style afs way,
and use afs for everthing including authentication, user priviledges,
fileserverving, updates, backup, clock setting, and all the rest, then
you're off by simply obeying the ibm manuals.
But if you want to deviate from that path, you're on your own. That's
why I started to put together this humble site:
http://www.mathematik.uni-karlsruhe.de/~schulz/Unix/afs/afs-krb5.html
It is by no means a structured Howto-document nor a "real" FAQ, I just
started to collect pieces of (hopefully usefull) information for those
who start.
Fell free to send me your additions, corrections or suggestions. I
must say, I dont have much spare time to spend on this page, nor do I
know very much about the topic; I am just a yesterday's starter...
Yours,
