Hi,
The Transarc AFS to OpenAFS was pretty painless. We have a small cell
and all our servers were on Linux boxes. The procedure we used to
upgrade the servers was to stop all servers, backup the databases,
swap in OpenAFS binaries and restart the servers. We never tried to
have Transarc AFS servers and OpenAFS servers talk to each other.
A big THANK YOU to all the people that made OpenAFS possible and
usable.
- Daniel
