do everything except adding the fileserver ("fs") bnode e.g. don't run the
bos create <hostname> fs fs /usr/afs/bin/fileserver /usr/afs/bin/volserver
/usr/afs/bin/salvager
command. you of course then don't need any vice partitions, either.
