[OpenAFS] chrooting in an AFS dir

I'm trying to put a copy of a Linux distro (Fedora core 1, in my case) on an AFS
directory.
I have some network clients that will do a pre-bootstrap, mount /afs, chroot
into this dir and continue the boot.
The problem is, this way all the files in the AFS directory have the same owner,
so i'm having big problems, for example with RPM.

Have someone done this before me? Any suggestions?
