Well, there was quite a pack of patches between these two
versions (see below). Some of them cannot even be examined
on bugzilla - access denied.
Of course, it is always possible to look for a lion in the
desert applying them in groups. But I think we better do this
kind of checks if the problem occurs in the opposite way:
"things work with an older kernel and they stop working with
the new one". In this way we will have a reference point to
start with. It seems that 2.6.9-5.0.3.EL may become such a
point for RHEL4.
