We have been moving towards an all openafs environment for the last 2
years. For us it has been basically seamless. We replaced the database a
year ago and the fileservers still running transarcs software never
noticed the diff.
As we replace the older fileservers with new hardware we install openafs
and again it all seems to be painfree. We are about 2T with >250,000
user volumes.
We had to stop using the runntp to sync the time and rely on xntpd ..
Maybe others have more data on that.
