Nope, I'm seeing exactly the same error.
I have a fresh installation of CentOS 4 (basically
RH Enterprise 4), with OpenAFS 1.3.80 downloaded today.
I have not tried any other version on this machine.
I'm setting up a fresh OpenAFS cell, and
this is my test box. I'm in the inital setup stage,
and all I've managed to do so far is (I'm using
"real" values for machine_name and test_cell_name):
/usr/afs/bin/bosserver -noauth &
./bos setcellname (machine_name) (test_cell_name)
worked fine
./bos listhosts (machine_name0
worked fine
./bos create (machine_name) kaserver simple /usr/afs/bin/kaserver -cell
(test_cell_name) -noauth
And I got the error:
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0xb7dfe010 ***
ps shows bosserver has died, and when I try to restart:
[root ~]# /usr/afs/bin/bosserver -noauth
[root ~]# *** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0xb7dfe010 ***
