Hi!
Just experienced some strange problems with kernel 2.6.10 and 1.3.79
OpenAFS.
I built a kernel on 2 different machines with the same .config file (one
is a dual-Pentium 3, one is a single AthlonXP).
On both I compiled the same OpenAFS version for that kernel.
On the dual-PIII OpenAFS works great and no problem with the fileserver,
but on the athlonXP, the fileserver won?t start.
While starting it prints out:
atlas:~# free(): invalid pointer 0xb7caa010!
free(): invalid pointer 0xb7c79010!

~ bos status atlas
bos: no such entry (getting tickets)
bos: running unauthenticated
Instance fs, temporarily disabled, stopped for too many errors,
currently shutdown.
~ Auxiliary status is: file server shut down.
Mon Mar 28 17:12:12 2005: fs:vol exited with code 0
Mon Mar 28 17:12:12 2005: fs:vol exited with code 0
Mon Mar 28 17:12:12 2005: BNODE 'fs' repeatedly failed to start, perhaps
missing
~ executable.
And I know that the executeables are available.
Strange at all...
I wait now for the 1.3.80 .debs from Mr.Hartmans and I?ll try again, or
I reinstall that machine first and try again...
Cya
