Hi everyone,
I just rebuilt and installed the openafs 1.4.2 rpms on RHEL5 beta 1..
The RHEL4 RPMs complained about the wrond version of libc.
I'm pleased to report the following:
*kinit and aklog worked and grabbed tokens
* I was able to copy files to and from AFS
Things seem to be working with the following oddities:
On install, I received the following:
...
8:openafs-debuginfo ###########################################
[ 67%]
9:openafs-docs ###########################################
[ 75%]
10:openafs-kernel ###########################################
[ 83%]
FATAL: Could not rename

error: %post(openafs-kernel-1.4.2-2.6.17_1.2519.4.21.el5_1.i686)
scriptlet failed, exit status 1
I did a "depmod -a" just for safety. selinux is enabled and enforcing.
and the following:
# /etc/init.d/openafs-client start
Updating CellServDB:
Updating SuidCells:
Starting openafs-client: Found system call table at 0xc0616500 (pattern
scan)
Address 0xc0616500 is not writable.
System call hooks will not be installed; proceeding anyway
Starting AFS cache scan...found 0 non-empty cache files (0%).
afsd: All AFS daemons started.
Is this supposed to happen?
Sincerely,
