[OpenAFS] 1.4.7 client on server machine hangs

Hi,

I have a strange problem after upgrading from version
1.4.6_p20080222  to 1.4.7  on my gentoo system.
(I have upgraded the kernel from 2.6.23 to 2.6.25 at the same time)

The server seems to run fine and I can access it from any machine
accept the server machine itself.

There, the client seems to run fine just after boot, but after some time
the client seems to "lock" ,i.e.

- I cannot stop the client ( umounting /afs tells me /afs is busy )
  therefore I cannot put the server down smoothly.
- df hangs when it comes to display /afs
- klog admin hangs after the password is accepted
- fuser -v /afs hangs

Any hints are more than welcome,
