I am reminded of an account of the early days of Apache,
when IBM decided that it wanted to be able to bill for
customer support of this open source product. A description
of the conversation between the implementers of this service
and the corporate lawyers had a section that went something
like this:
"So let me get this straight, you want to create a legally
binding agreement with a ... website"
"Yes."
I can't think of any downsides to the Incorporation of
OpenAFS; It sounds like a very good thing to me.

PS Great description of OpenAFS history,
function and progress.
