First setup:
Opensuse 10.3 standalone server/client machine (tests run on the server)
kernel-default-2.6.22.19-0.2 (i686)
openafs-1.4.8-55.1
openafs-kmp-default-1.4.8_2.6.22.19_0.2-55.1
openafs-client-1.4.8-55.1
openafs-server-1.4.8-55.1
Cache: shared ext3 partition (/)
Repeatable: yes, in every run of blogbench
Memcache: problem still present
Second setup:
Server: Redhat Enterprise Linux 5, 2.6.18-92.1.18.el5 x86_64
rpms from openafs download repository
Clients: Opensuse 10.3, kernel versions 2.6.22.17-0.1-default and
2.6.22.19-0.2-default (i686 and x86_64), same openafs rpms as above,
using memcache
Problem is repeatable.
I'm willing to experiment some more (when time permits).
