[OpenAFS-announce] OpenAFS 1.6.0 release available

The OpenAFS Gatekeepers are pleased to announce the availability of OpenAFS
version 1.6.0.  Source files and available binaries can be accessed via
the web at:

       http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/1.6.0/

or via AFS at:

       /afs/grand.central.org/software/openafs/1.6.0/
       \\afs\grand.central.org\software\openafs\1.6.0\

OpenAFS 1.6.0 is the first of a new series of stable releases of
OpenAFS. Among the new features included are support for the Demand
Attach fileserver, which greatly improves startup and first access
time for data. OpenAFS 1.6.0 contains many other features for all
platforms. Additional details are available in the release notes.

OpenAFS 1.6.0 also represents the first release fully supporting
MacOS Lion, and sites running the initial release should upgrade.

(Chaz Chandler, Douglas Engert, Christof Hanke, Ben Kaduk, and Simon
