OpenAFS 1.7.25 is the next a series of OpenAFS clients for the Microsoft
Windows platform that is implemented as a native file system.
Significant changes since 1.7.24:

 * Fix kernel memory leaks using the AFAR and AFNB tags.

 * Avoid AFSFcb SectionObjectResource leak if a race occurs
   between a non-extendeding non-cached write and a file truncation.

 * Avoid Null pointer reference when a hard link create request
fails due to a cross-directory reference.

 * As a result of the demand attach file service rewrite, the
file servers can return the error VIO when the VNOVNODE error
is appropriate. VIO errors are treated as transient errors
which are always retried. Install a hard cap of 100 retries
on the number of retry attempts.

 * Fix a bug in afsd_service which can result in a Null pointer
reference when file reads from the file server are performed
   in cache bypass mode.

1.7.25 is the recommended release of OpenAFS for Microsoft Windows
users. It supports Microsoft Windows client operating systems from
Windows XP SP3 through Windows 8 and Windows Server operating
systems from 2003 SP2 through 2012. The 1.7.25 Windows client is
fully compatible with all AFS server versions.

For UNIX, Linux, and MacOS X the recommended production-ready release of
OpenAFS is 1.6.2.
