Yep, it seems I found the bug. I made a little change to the mentioned
lines (my
last posting) in the source code, and now he (I means "kas") behaves
differently
(patch is attached). I could also write an essay about the reasons why this
patch solves
the problem, but I will do that only on demand because so many issues must
be explained
in order to understand what is going on there (this behaviour occurs only
on 31-bit
S/390-Systems, the "s390x"-machines should change the AFS-password also
without this patch as far as I can imagine) ...
