[OpenAFS-devel] libafs.o problems 1.2.1 RH 7.1 Kernel 2.4.10

Having some problems getting openafs 1.2.1 to run on my box.

I installed all the RPMs
I compiled kernel-source RPM and copies the MODLOAD-XXX-SP/libafs-2.4.10.o
to /usr/vice/etc/modload/

I also renamed it a bunch of things following the rules i could garner
from the preinstalled versions, and it claims it can't find the module for
my system.

am I missing something? This method seemed to work on the older versions.

I also tried tinkering with SymTable to no avail
