Hi,
so the actual status is I'm compiling gdb. :)
While not playing with afs at all, I see something new in FileLog:
Thu Dec 12 23:52:25 2002 XFS/EFS File server starting
Thu Dec 12 23:52:25 2002 The system supports a max of -33 open files and we are starting 9 threads
Thu Dec 12 23:53:55 2002 Cannot initialize RX
@(#) OpenAFS 1.2.7 built 2002-09-25
12/12/2002 23:53:56 STARTING AFS SALVAGER 2.4 (/usr/afs/bin/salvager)
12/12/2002 23:53:56 Starting salvage of file system partition /vicepb
12/12/2002 23:53:56 Starting salvage of file system partition /vicepa
12/12/2002 23:53:56 SALVAGING FILE SYSTEM PARTITION /vicepb (device=dks0d5s7)
12/12/2002 23:57:34 SALVAGING OF PARTITION /vicepb COMPLETED
12/12/2002 23:53:56 SALVAGING FILE SYSTEM PARTITION /vicepa (device=dks0d6s6)
12/12/2002 23:54:00 No vice inodes on dks0d6s6; not salvaged
Temporary file /vicepa/salvage.inodes.dks0d6s6.73755 is missing...
Please note that /vicepa is recently recreated filesystem and there're just no
file on it.
Now I see that also bosserver died again and no salvager processes run anylonger.
The last output couple of minutes ago was:
xx# bos status -server xx -long
Instance fs, (type is fs) currently running normally.
Auxiliary status is: salvaging file system.

Only fileserver and volserver continue running again.
