To this vein I've been toying with how we could install a openafs-config
program not unlike modern krb5, gnome and such, which would allow some
stuff to be discovered, but there's a catch 22. If I give you a
transarc-style dest tree, where will it live? Traditionally /usr/afsws,
but nothing in the binaries themselves requires that. 

And even assuming we get something like this, it's not necessarily useful
for a case like the above, which is also useful to solve. The only
question is how.
