We use gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85). Your problem
seems to be specific for gcc version 3.

Yes and I don't have fixes for that yet. I will try to fix this ... Lets see,
if I can track down the problem of these warnings (32 vs 64 bit integers,
pointers ....).
