Yes, of course. I tried the binary rpms, and tried rebuilding from the
source rpm. All the same results: afs module loads fine, appears in
/proc/modules

libafs-2.4.18-5-i686 463888 0 (unused)

and an afs_syscall appears in the insmod -f output

c8929a20 T afs_syscall

and in /proc/ksysms:

c8929a20 afs_syscall	[libafs-2.4.18-5-i686]

but on afsd startup, lots of

afs_syscall(blah) = -1 ENOSYS (Function not implemented)

And of course my favorite error message: :)

Found libafs-2.4.18-5-i686.o from SymTable... Loading...
Starting AFS services.....
afsd: No check server daemon in client.
afsd: All AFS daemons started.
afsd: Can't mount AFS on /afs(22)

Now, I just did all of this on a system that has never seen 2.4.18-17.7.x.
Obviously, I missing something. I just can't think of the next thing to
look at.
