ok, so you're running -dynroot and -afsdb.  That's fine..

That's not what I was asking.  What AFS Volumes do you have?  You
can get that information from "vos listvldb".

What happens if you "cd /afs/tu-chemnitz.de"?
What happens if you "cd /afs/athena.mit.edu"?

The kernel module is working fine.  It's mounted.  It's loaded.  The
only problem is that it's not finding volume information.  The question
is "why"...
