[OpenAFS-devel] OpenAFS mapping drives problem

Hello,

I'm trying to use OpenAFS to map drives to our umich.edu cell under XP, and
although I am able to obtain tokens, I cannot map drives. The error I'm
getting from the client is:

-----
AFS was unable to map the network drive to the specified path in AFS. Check
to make sure the drive letter is not currently in use.

Error: 0x00000035

-----

Clearly the drive letter I'm trying to map the path is NOT in use, and I'm
unable to even mount \afs (or for the unix gurus, /afs). I tried different
drive letters but nothing worked. I can map drives to windows/netware/unix
servers using those letters and 'net use'

The machines are Windows XP Pro, SP1 and all the latest patches, and are not
part of a domain. I tried different versions of the client (1.2.8, 1.2.10
and the latest, 1.3).

Are there any security settings in the Local GPO that I should be paying
attention to? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Panagis
