  Hello Chas,
             This is a major issue for me - AFS is a must have 
for a Linux kernel. So I have been trying to build your CVS
version, but have a problem.
    My 'custom' kernel is a FC2-test1 2.6.1-1.65, but there
is no modversions.h in the /lib/modules area, unlike the
original. So I cannot persuade .configure to run.
    Could you possibly suggest why it might have gone?
