For what definition of "function"?  The existing code is nowhere near
as functional as OpenAFS, and based on the number of man-hours I've
personally put into AFS, I honestly don't expect a fully-functional
client as soon as 2.6.7.  I'm sorry, but until there is vl and rxkad
support I don't think ANYONE would call it functional.  Maybe by
2.6.20 or 2.8 enough man-hours will get put into the new client -- but
why spend all that time on a new client just for linux when OpenAFS
works just fine?  Fix the few problems with OpenAFS and then the
distros can just pull it in.

Note: not every kernel module has to live in the kernel source tree.
