[OpenAFS-devel] what's "enable-redhat-buildsys" all about?

If I use the --enable-redhat-buildsys, either in a spec file or from a
command line, with the openafs devel snapshots, it causes configure to fail:

  configure: error: no available sys_call_table access method

What is the point of this parameter? Why would I want it in my specfile?
