It isn't meant as a "fix", it's a "patch" which makes the build complain 
but generates a working AFS - be it ugly. I am aware that we're missing 
man pages afterwards.

In the past 15 years building AFS relied on roughly what's "standard" on 
the systems it supports, since OpenAFS at least once past the 
autoconf/automake stage. Build the man pages in the regen stage and we 
agree again.
