Sorry guys, maybe I got too cold the last days on my motorbike, but my last posting was a false one. The solution was simple "df -i" pointed out the problem - there were no more inodes on the /vicepa ... :( Sorry for the alarm - everything is fine with rc6 (even on x86_64) ... regards marco
