If you do actually need to run the server from a windows machine, I'd 
highly suggest using colinux, VMWare, or Virtual PC to run Linux and 
have the AFS server on there.  It'll save you much pain and suffering. 
And, you'll be able to easily clone / move your setup to another machine 
as needed.
