[OpenAFS-devel] Long file names

Ran into the most interesting situation today while testing...

$ touch `perl 'print "A" x 256;'`

The file gets created all right, but I can't remove it or do anything
else to it.  Salvaging the partition merely reports that

05/05/2008 15:05:44 Dir entry 65a38 in chain 0 has too-long name.

This is on IBM AFS 3.6 2.5something servers.

It's only in my home directory, so not much of an issue. But...?
