(rc5+), and we're still good.

Solution being implemented, may appear in gerrit next week.
The discussion on the release-team list about announcing the problem =
stalled quickly due to Andrew waiting for directions how to go on and =
noone giving them. Conclusion: If it's not worth a security advisory, an =
informal announcement can be sent by members of the developer community. =
That's what Andrew will do. Approval by an openafs-announce admin does =
not imply approval by, nor that the message is coming from, "the =
project".
=3D=3D 1.6.7 security release =3D=3D
Blocked on Simon's availability. He'll ask the original reporter to =
write text for the advisory, and then a volunteer for getting an =
embargoed CVE number would help. Stephan offers help collecting =
binaries, uploading, preparing the release page etc. but it's generally =
felt that binaries won't be needed.
A patch for 1.4 will still be provided, according to the announced =
policy.
Stephan asks to not release it on a Friday, and preferably not during or =
shortly before EAKC and after a week of preannouncement.
Jeffrey proposes to preannounce at EAKC and release the Wednesday after.
1.6.8pre1 can be issued before 1.6.7 is released.
=3D=3D Status of items foreseen to be included in 1.6.8 =3D=3D
"Give up callbacks" (6272 + 8840 + the new 10855): stalled on review
New "vnodeunique rollover" pullups (10846/7): no objections, will go in
Logging improvements: 10757 blocked on additional 10857 still being =
reviewed on master
6266/10799 (interrupt Rx calls accessing offlining volumes): Andrew =
would like to review

opic:bozo-catchup,n,z :
Most of those received positive review by Jeffrey during the meeting, =
but he objects to 10864..10866 (removal of dead code + minor cleanups, =
removal of MR-AFS specific code believed to have been obsolete and =
unused everywhere for years) due to this being inappropriate to do in a =
stable release series. Giving rise to a discussion about what's =
appropriate for the stable series, and another one about whether such a =
discussion is appropriate in release-team meetings. Both without general =
consent.
