1.8.x stable
============

* OpenAFS 1.8.8 released last week

* Announcement on announce@openafs.org list seems to be held up in the
  moderation queue.

* 1.8.8 build issue raised on FBSD
  - malloc() redefinition
  - fixed in 3bc541743b09f408364a946139c524d53056d40a
  - Stephan to check if fix will be available for 1.8.9.

* Cheyenne reports linux-5.14-rc4+ still getting clean intel
  builds on master and 1.8.x

1.9.x devel/master

Merged and master. These are candidates for 1.8.x:
* 14465 rx: compare RX_ACK_TYPE_ACK as a bit-field
* 14691 LINUX: defer afs_remunlink when current->fs==NULL
