[OpenAFS-devel] GSoC 2026: Interested in Low-level FUSE backend for OpenAFS - Tirth Patel

Dear OpenAFS team,

I am a 3rd year student at *DAIICT (now DAU)*. I am interested in OpenAFS
Low-Level FUSE client project.

I have a deep interest in systems programming. My background includes:

   -

   *Systems Programming:* I am currently developing a hobby x86_64 OS
   kernel in Rust (no-std), which has given me a foundational understanding of
   the Operating Systems, memory management, and bare-metal environments.
   -

   *Tooling:* I am proficient in C,Rust and C++, and I frequently use
   Linux, Docker, and shell scripting to manage development environments.
   -

   *Full-Stack:* Through projects like my real-time multiplayer engine
   (Rust/Actix/PostgreSQL), using Docker to manage multiple rooms and players.
   -

   *Linux: *I daily drive arch linux with sway, constantly solving many
   issues along the way and reporting them.

Please help me to go ahead with this project and show me where to start.
