[OpenAFS] How the file updation process happen in AFS?

Hi everybody, 
can any body give answer to this small question?

How the file updation process happen in AFS?

Suppose, if the server has a file of size of 4MB, and two clients are
accessing 
the file (one is reading and the other is writing). The client which is
writing 
has made some changes to the file in the last 64k part. (which means at the
end
of file). Then how the server will update the file, will it update only last
64k
part, or will it update the entire file? because there is no need  to update
the 
entire file....
