Um, what do you mean?  Theoretical limit for the number of connections
to a given file server?  I don't think this is that kind of limit. 
Aren't you here talking about a property of a Ubik database?  What would
that have to do with this limit?

There may be a limit like this on the number of separate fileservers in
a given cell, but it's been a while since I had internalized the details.
