Hello all,

1st, I tried to install the win server version - giving up since the
problem that the server does not start was adresses already twice in
this mailing list with no reply.

2nd, I got the linux source and made it on a plain Mandrake 8.2
installation - no problems so far.
Setting the things up took me a lot of time but finally I succeeded.
Paths were strange sometimes (e.g. /usr/local/libexec/... for the
servers) - maybe this should be fixed or changed in the docu.

  3rd, now I wanted to use the AFS on my Win XP client -> no way.
  I set up my cell with the linux machine as the only server.
  The AFS client takes about 2 minutes to try and finally fails with
error code 0x42A.

Confusing: the Account and Server managers from the Control center work
properly and I can administer the linux server with these tools. Why
can't the client connect?

I read sth. about NetBEUI and LANA settings - what is this? The NetBEUI
protocol is not included in WinXP anymore.
