[OpenAFS] first time install - please help

Hi all,

I've been way too naive.
I've got the source
done  configure, make, make install
and then tried to run the install_afs script (in src/tools/install)
but that doesn't fit exactly to my machine (Linux from Scratch)

just one point: it refers to /etc/rc.d/init.d/afs
but this has never been built before.

I also tried the QuickStartUnix docu but failed, as well.
(Here the bos create <machine name> fs fs ... failed,
and if anything fails you're lost)
Is there a docu or install script which applies?
