[OpenAFS] OpenAFS directory update is SLOW. Performance tuning?

Yes, sorry for the confusion.  My Linux client under VMWare is must FASTER
than my WinXP client.  Remember, this is for the specific test of updating a
large CVS repostitory on an OpenAFS directory.
