[OpenAFS] AFS on Win9x: user doesn't exist

We just solved a similar, but different, problem. The error we were
seeing was "Unable to authenticate to AFS because" 'Unknown error'".
It seemed to be failing when setting up the callback interface. It
turned out that the TCP hostname was not set correctly for the machine
and (probably the real problem) the gateway was not being set correctly
via DHCP. (The machine had an old gateway set but could somehow
communicate with the world...)
Changing these two things fixed it for us.
Something to check anyway...
