[OpenAFS] mandrake 9.0 segmentation fault

Okay, I have managed to get mdk9.0 to compile, upoun starting afs, I see

[root@localhost root]# service afs start

/var/log/messages shows ...

Oct  3 20:34:08 localhost kernel: AFS: RX failed to initialize.

The it just sits there. Am I missing something here?
