Paul,
Did you provide a user name when logging on Windows 98? I don't remember
the exact reason, but the AFS client needs the Windows user name to work
with.

Subject: [OpenAFS] OpenAFS Client for Windows95 problem
Hello,
I tried using the OpenAFS client for Windows95
recently downloaded from http://www.openafs.org/
The version seems to be "AFS Control Panel 1.2.2 b".
It fails to mount z: as /afs.
Here is the console log:
(10:46:54-120)AFS:StartupMicrosoft wsock32.dll, ver2.2, 32bit of Feb 6
1998, at 14:18:02.
(10:46:54-120)comctl32 5.80
(10:46:54-280)Socket Connect
(10:46:54-390)Shell32 4.0
(10:46:54-610)ADVAPI32 4.71
(10:47: 4-170)Start AFSD Creation
(10:47: 4-170)AFSD Creation done - wait for notification
(10:47: 8-890)OnWSAEvent FD_READ(0)
(10:47: 8-890)OnAfsEvent - Receive Good Status
(10:47: 9-000)AFS Client Console started successfully [YOESPXSW].
(10:47: 9-000)Connect Z: all
(10:47:12-900)OnWSAEvent FD_READ(0)
(10:47:13-950)Connect can't continue: Network error adding 'Z:all'
Two questions:
1) Can anyone explain why this fails?
2) Is 1.2.2 the version? I thought OpenAFS was now at 1.2.6?
