Yes I read it but ...
First I will try to backing up a volume.
(I don't install amanda-afs on the backup-server but only on the afs.server
host). In the disklist file from backup server I put the line

afs.server.host  afs:user.arnold comp-user-tar

and the results given by amchek are the following:
====================================================
ERROR: afs.server.host: [could not access afs:user.arnold (afs:user.arnold): No
such file or directory]
Client check: 1 host checked in 0.142 seconds, 1 problem found
======================================================
the same will be with

afs.server.host afs:afs.server.host/vicepa/.cellname/users/home1/arnold

If now I put a classical line

afs.server.host /afs/.cellname/users/home1/arnold

I obtain the following errors

=======================================================
FAILED AND STRANGE DUMP DETAILS:

/-- afs.server.host /afs/.cellname/users/home1/arnold lev 0 STRANGE
sendbackup: start [afs.server.host:/afs/.pic /users/home1/arnold level 0]
sendbackup: info BACKUP=/bin/tar
sendbackup: info RECOVER_CMD=/usr/bin/gzip -dc |/bin/tar -f... -
sendbackup: info COMPRESS_SUFFIX=.gz
sendbackup: info end
? gtar: ./.X.err: Warning: Cannot open: Permission denied
? gtar: ./.Xauthority: Warning: Cannot open: Permission denied
? gtar: ./.Xdefaults: Warning: Cannot open: Permission denied
?
===========================================================
and so on.
What should I do to give amanda access to these afs files ?

Thanks
