[OpenAFS] Kernel module/afsd causes kernel oops ("bug report" sort of)

FWIW, after making the misstage <g> of restarting the server where I *DID*
get it to work perfectly, I now have the exact same problem again!

In order words, whatever the problem was, it's almost certainly not a kernel
incompatibility. It's something in userland. If I ever figure it out, I'll
let the list know.
