[OpenAFS] Can't cd to /afs

hi,

I posted this a bit ago, but the list seems to think I am not a
member. So here is the post again, with an updates email addr.

I think I have my AFS server going:
[root@radius root]# vos listvol -server radius -noauth
Total number of volumes on server radius partition /vicepa: 1
root.afs 536870912 RW 2 K On-line

Total volumes onLine 1 ; Total volumes offLine 0 ; Total busy 0

I have added an admin user and myself. Now. I can't seem to get
the afs client working. When I start the service it loads all
the kernel mods OK, but I can not cd to /afs

[root@radius afs]# /etc/init.d/afs start
Found libafs-2.4.18-17.8.0-i686.o from SymTable... Loading...
Starting AFS services.....
afsd: All AFS daemons started.
[root@radius afs]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda1 5.0G 4.1G 703M 86% /
/dev/hda2 687M 224M 428M 35% /home
none 62M 0 61M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/loop0 189M 28K 179M 1% /vicepa
AFS 8.6G 0 8.5G 0% /afs
[root@radius afs]# cd /afs/
-bash: cd: /afs/: Permission denied
[root@radius afs]#

And I have no idea why /afs is 8G. The only thing it should
be mounting is my own /vicepa and no other remote afs cells.

I'm using redhat 8, w/ OpenAFS 1.2.7.

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks,
j.
