[OpenAFS] AFS client on Windows 2000

Hi,

I had been using Open AFS client ver 1.2.2.a on Windows 2000. Recently
after a reboot of the machine the Afs Service did not statrtup.

On trying to start the service manually from the "show tokens" icon it
gives the following error
"The Afs Client Service could not be started successfully. You might not
have autorization to perform the operation" even though i am loggedin as
the Administrator.

When i click on the client configuration option..nothing comes up.(usually
the client configuration panel should popup)

When i try to start the service from the services list in the control
panel...it gives the following error

Could not start the IBM AFS Client Service on local computer.
"Error 1053 : The Sevice did not respond to the start or control request in
a timely fashion."

The eventviewer has the following errorr

Application popup : afsd_service.exe. Unable to locate DLL : the dynamic
link library afsrpc.dll could not be found in the specified path..the
library exists.

I uninstalled the client and reinstalled it twice..but still the same error
shows up.


Could somebody help me out on this one.
